Members of the photo club can use the club's equipment both during and outside of meetings. 

The club posesses :

• A basic reflex camera with 17-55mm kit lens plus tripod and cobra flash to permit members who do not have a reflex to familiarise themselves.

• IT (shared with other Fils et Cordes clubs) :Lap-top PC with Adobe Lightroom CC et Adobe photoshop CC, projector, HD flat screen monitor and A4 colour printer

• Studio lighting both continuous and flash with various modifiers such as brolly diffusers, beauty dish, reflectors, snoot, honeycomb etc plus backdrop stands and 3m by 6m white and black fabric backdrops

How to reserve a stall

The Vide Greniers on 14th July and 15th August take place on the tree lined avenue leading to the château and on the square in front of the magnificent château de Jumilhac itself.

From 9h à 18h the roads are closed and the town centre is dedicated to around 200 stalls offering : antiques, books, post cards, furniture, porcelaine, glass, clothing, CDs, old tools and bric à brac.  There are rare treasures to be found!!

A bar, a BBQ and a snack stall are available in the square, together with two cafés and an excellent restaurant (reservation essential).

The evening of the 14th July there is an open air dance with a first class band, followed by spectacular fireworks against the backdrop of the magnificent château Jumilhac. 

Parking

It is important to use the parking areas provided.  Parking is restricted in many areas of the town and along the roads leading into Jumilhac - especially the road from Thiviers.

There are large parking areas as follows : 

At the school and the field between the Allée and the Bd Darnet.  Both accessed from Bd Darnet

At the Lotissement Chataignier - follow the signs for the medical centre.

There is an overspill car park at the Salle de la Pepite.

The Fils et Cordes photo club is a group of enthusiasts that organises a monthly meeting to share our photos, our creative ideas and our technical knowledge, to invite a guest speaker from time to time and to organise exhibitions of our photos.  Several times per year we organise trips out together to locations or events where there will be good opportunities to take interesting photos. 

The club is open to anyone with a camera, even the most simple pocket camera will do, no experience is needed, we are there to help each other. 

The language of the club is french, but english or dutch speakers are welcome to join us and to benefit from the easy going atmosphere to help improve their french.

As a part of Fils et Cordes we use the meeting rooms at the Maison des Associations de Jumilhac, where we have Wi-Fi Internet access.  map   The club also posesses studio lighting and other equipment which is available for use by members for portraits and still life etc.  details
